Chicago’s 5 best views

Chicago looks pretty amazing and there are a whole lot of spots from where you can get incredible views of the Windy City. Here are my top 5 of the best view experiences the city has to offer:

5. The Skydeck at Willis Tower

The Willis Tower is the tallest building in the city and it has four glass boxes on the 103rd floor that extend out 4.3 feet from the Skydeck. Unfortunately the glass boxes look out to the westside of the city when the center of the city, with all the sights and Lake Michigan, is on the opposite side. It’s still neat to get a good view but in my opinion the one and a half hour wait and the 22$ admission fee were a bit too much for being pushed around in a huge crowd up there. Anyways, if you really want to see it, be smarter than me and go up right when they open their doors at 9AM.

4. The Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier

IMG_6184Always a fun activity that gives you a nice view of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan. They renewed Navy Pier and built a more modern, larger Ferris Wheel for summer 2016. So go check it out and take a ride for 8$.

3. The Signature Lounge at John Hancock Tower

IMG_0698 (1)The Signature Lounge is a bar located on the 96th floor of the John Hnacock Tower. Admission is free and the waiting time to get up isn’t too long. You have to be 21 years old to get access and the prices rose a bit in the past but it’s still affordable to have a drink up here (starting at 9$). You might also want to try there Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée which I LOVE.
PS: The view from the girls’ restrooms is stunning, you might want to stop by there for a glimpse! Sorry guys, I heard there are no windows in your restroom..

2. Cindy’s Rooftop Bar at Chicago Athletic Association Hotel

IMG_0552 (1)Fancy some drinks with a view? Head to Cindy’s, a rooftop bar and restaurant at the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel which is overlooking Millenium Park in all its beauty. There is no cover fee and drinks are pretty cheap (starting at 7$).

1. Museum Campus

IMG_0618 (1)My all time favorite view of Chicago is a glimpse of the entire skyline at Museum Campus. If you go there: Walk all the way to Adler Planetarium, sit on the steps by the lake and enjoy! It’s free, outside and you can bring some food to have a picnic – nothing better than that ❤️
